My best year for music…1987

I have this long running theory that everyone has one year that they feel music reached its perfection. The interesting thing is that I’ve found that the majority of people I’ve shared this theory with have had that year either their junior or senior year in high school.

I have a very broad taste in music. From Classical, to New Age, to Alternative, to Trance and Techno, I like most everything.

So my year is 1987, which was my senior year in high school. All of my favorite albums came out in that period, some 86, some 88, but all are tied to that part of my life.

A short list:

Depeche Mode – Music for the Masses
New Order – Substance
The Cure – Disintegration
U2 – The Joshua Tree
Peter Gabriel – So
Pet Shop Boys – Actually
Erasure – The Innocents
Nitzer Ebb – That Total Age
The Sisters of Mercy – This Corrosion
Genesis – Invisible Touch
INXS – Kick
Pink Floyd – A Momentary Lapse of Reason

To name a few…
